Beckie Swindle

Funeral Services at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in the Walters Cemetery, Walters, OK.

Audie Rebecca (Lucas) Swindle was born to Martha May (Solenberg) and Henry Freland Lucas on April 28, 1948 in Ratliff City, OK and departed this life in Coushatta, LA on February 6, 2022 at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 9 days.

Beckie grew up at Graham, OK until the family moved to Lawton, OK. She continued making Lawton her home and eventually married Jimmy Earl Swindle there on August 9, 1982 in a hospital chapel. She and Jim eventually made their way to New Llano, LA where he would retire from the U.S. Army. Through the years they also made their home in Cabot, AR, Cave City, AR, Walters, OK, Elyria, OH and back to Walters on August 4, 2014. Following Jim’s passing she move to Louisiana to be near her family in 2018, making her home in Saline, LA at the time of her death.

Beckie loved spending time with her family and especially the grandkids. She enjoyed going on the road with Jim in the truck, but could only take it a week at a time. Fishing with Jim and shopping were also a joy for her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, in 2017; and her parents, Henry and Martha Lucas.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Lana Stone of Elyria, OH; a brother, David Lucus of Pine Grove, AR; 6 grandchildren; soon to be 8 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
