Memorial Services will be held at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel in Walters, OK on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 10:30 a.m., under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Beulah Mae Swain was born to James Walter and Virdie Jane McAlister on July 14, 1945 in Chickasha, OK and departed this life in Temple, OK on November 24, 2024 at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 10 days.

Beulah grew up in Chickasha before moving to Lawton at age 14, graduating from Lawton High in 1963. She worked several years at Gibson’s and did the training to become a CNA. She made Lawton her home for many years before moving to Temple Manor in 2009.

Beulah was a member of the Church of Christ. She loved watching her favorite TV shows, reading, and doing crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Virdie McAlister; an infant daughter Valerie Swain; her sons, Robert and Bradley Swain; her brother Anthony James McAlister; a sister, Colita Jane Chance; and her granddaughter Amanda Swain.

She is survived by her son, Richard “Rick” Swain of Lawton; a brother, Richard McCalister and Gwen of Tulsa; sisters, Betty Knutson of Chickasha, Edith Benson and Edward of Surprise, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Jonathan Swain, Keith Swain, Kelli Birmingham, and Shawn Swain all of Lawton and Brandon Swain of Oklahoma City; 4 great-grandchildren, Melody, Violet, Atcher and Forest; many other relatives and friends.
