Funeral Services at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Bryan Cooper officiating. Interment in the Walters Cemetery with Military Honors.

Visitation from 10 am to 12 noon on Tuesday.

 

Billy Lee Cooper was born to Chester Lee and Ola (McKee) Cooper on January 10, 1928 in Walters, OK and departed this life in Mount Holly, NJ, on November 4, 2019.

Bill grew up in Oklahoma and Texas. He joined the Army Air Corp on May 2, 1946, serving as a cook. He was discharged as a Sergeant on Oct 20, 1947.

Bill married Mary Adams in 1948. They had 3 children, Stephen, Donnie and Lee Ann. He later married Willie C. D'Agostino on Aug 12, 1961. During his career Bill owned service stations, was a mechanic and taught the trade to others. He went to work for North American Van Lines. He was eventually injured on the job and had to retire.

Bill was an excellent bowler and had many 300-point games. He loved fishing, and was an accomplished hunter with bow and rifle. He could build you anything with nothing.

Bill and Willie retired to Walters in 1981. After Willie passed away, Bill moved to Eufaula to be near his brother Ronnie at the lake.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy D. Cooper and Bobby G. Cooper, and his granddaughter Jenica.

Survivors include his children Peter (and Mary Jo) D'Agostino Jr. of Bristol, PA, Sandra D'Agostino of Denver, CO, Stephen (and Diann) Cooper of Westminster, CO, Donnie (and Ana) of Thousand Oaks, and Lee Ann Winter of Rohnert Park, CA; brothers J.C. Cooper, Ronnie (and Beverly) Cooper and AJ (and Bonnie) Baker; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers: Pete D'Agostino, Mary Jo D'Agostino, Don Cooper, Eric Cooper, Wade Cooper, Tanya Marshall.
