Brian’s verse he chose for 2024 Isaiah 26:9
“In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right.”

Brian David Fink was born on October 1, 1976 in Palmerton, PA and Joined his heavenly Father and Savior on August 8, 2024 in Lawton, OK. Brian was the son of David A. and LaRue M. (Miller) Fink of Andreas, PA. He grew up in a faith-filled, loving family with four siblings, Karen, Kim, Barry and Benjamin. He attended Tamaqua High School where he played basketball, baseball and football, graduating in 1994.

Brian joined the military at age 17, serving in the U.S. Army from 1994-1997. He then moved to Lawton, OK, serving in the Oklahoma National Guard for another 5 years. He attended Cameron University where he played baseball and received his accounting degree in 2002. He then became a staff accountant at Hatch, Croke and Associates from 2002 until his death. He was not just an accountant during those 22 years, but he developed friendships, and family, vital and important relationships.

On July 5, 2003, he married Val Vidaurreta. They met while Brian was employed by her parents at Raudels. They soon became his family in Oklahoma. They loved and provided him with a relationship that he cherished. In the union of Brian and Val, they were blessed with their beautiful son, Keegan, who was born February 28, 2004. Brian poured love and devotion into Keegan with sports and Jesus. Brian, Val and the family attended and served at Western Hills Christian Church. Brian loved his Vidaurreta Family which included, Tomas, Anne, Val’s Parents, her sister, Cambria and husband Jory, along with their beautiful girls, whom he adored so much. Lilly & Kyra loved their “Uncle Bub” and he loved them.

Brian had a beautiful, close bond with his family in Pennsylvania. He traveled home at least once a year, devoting his love and energy into the time he was able to spend with them. During those trips, Brian was known as the fun uncle to Tiffany, Beth, Addison, Emily, Keith, Kaden, Caleb and Lilly. He made them a priority. If there was an activity or game they wanted to do, he would drop everything. He loved and valued the title “Uncle Brian” he took it very seriously to pour love into each one of them while he was home.

Brian was also a member of Black Dog Fitness for many years where he developed many friendships.

Brian attended Grace Fellowship for 6 years. For the past 3 years he served in the Grace Kids Ministry. Him and Lesley were also a part of Grace Life Group that became family. It included Jeremy, Becca, Tony, Bridget, & Kathy. “Come As You Are.”

In 2022 Brian and his current wife Lesley began attending Grace together on Sunday mornings and serving not only there but also at Lesley’s family church Immanuel Baptist with the youth on Wednesday nights. Brian & Lesley married Sept. 9, 2023. In this union Brian gained a very large family. He was a devoted husband, son-in-law, brother-in-law, and uncle, but he was also a wonderful bonus dad to Cobey and Jade. For the last 2 years Brian and Lesley resided in Geronimo, OK where he volunteered as a coach for youth basketball, Geronimo Community Events, and many more services. Brian immediately fit into Lesley’s life so perfectly.

He was a man of few words, but that was okay because he was a man of action. He was humble man who loved like Jesus. Served like Jesus and lived like Jesus. Brian loved to be outdoors, he loved watching sports and he loved the value of family. He was a true testament to the word servant.
