A Memorial Service for Carol L. Campbell has been scheduled for September 14, 2024 at 2:00pm with Pastor Roger Snow officiating at the Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel in Walters, OK.

Carol Lynette (Skinner) Burns Campbell was born on December 23, 1944 in San Diego, CA to Emma Elizabeth (Atkins) Skinner and James Doswell Skinner. After her father's retirement from the Navy the family moved to Louisiana where she and her sisters grew up and attended schools in the Mansfield area. Soon after she married William Edward Burns and moved to Oklahoma, eventually settling and raising a family in Walters. After the passing of her husband Edward in 1988, she eventually met and married Reverand Carlton Edgar Campbell and they continued to live in Walters until his passing in 2023.

Carol was mainly a homemaker but also worked various jobs throughout her lifetime including retail, insurance and as a landlord with her late husband Carlton. She was also very active with Carlton's ministry work at Richard's Spur Baptist Church in Elgin, OK. Carol also enjoyed attending her children, grandchildren and great-children's events; be it sporting events, graduations or weddings and especially all the birthdays. They always loved seeing their Gaga, as she was known by all the grandchildren.

Carol also had an insaitable love for animals, especially all the dogs she had throughout her lifetime. In her latter years she enjoyed watching TV especially game shows with her favorite being The Price is Right as well as the old time western movies. She so enjoyed to decorate as was evident at her home during Christmas and Halloween; she loved dressing up and handing out candy to the kids in the neighborhood. She had looked forward to starting anew in Powell, WY and seeing what adventures she could explore with her family there. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her, but she leaves behind memories that will continue to be cherished by all.

She departed this life on May 27, 2024 in Billings, MT at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 4 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Skinner, husbands, William Edward Burns and Carlton Edgar Campbell. She is survived by her sisters Anne S. Reed of Carmel Community, LA and Sue S. Tedder of Many, LA, daughters Sharon Renee Graham of Colorado Springs, CO, Tammy Burns Sheive (Jeff) of Elgin, OK, and Toni Regina Teppert (Alan) of Powell, WY, son Shan Campbell of Lawton, OK, grandchildren Britani Wludyka (Jeff) of Godley, TX, Kassi Pulis (Logan) of Davis, OK, Jami Simpson (Kody) of Walters, OK, Brandyn Kitchens of Cody, WY, Nathen Graham of Colorado Springs, CO, PennyKay Reece (Jonathan) of Walters, OK and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
