Graveside service at the Walters Cemetery, Monday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Roger Noland officiating. Visitation from 3-4:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home.
Carroll Eugene Blythe was born to Carl Victor and Willa Mae (Ketner) Blythe on June 7, 1942 at Gracemont, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on May 17, 2019 at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 10 days.
Carroll, also known as Big Daddy or Pops, grew up at Gracemont and Anadarko before coming to Walters where he graduating in 1960. He met Linda Thompson, otherwise known to him as Footsie or Big Mama, in Walters at the famous chicken market. It was love at first sight and was the start of a 56-year relationship with each other and God. Being faithful to God, working together with a purpose in life, with love, harmony and everlasting life in Heaven. He had a beacon of light that he always used to win people to Christ.
He was preceded by a sister, Fern Denmark.
Carroll is survived by his wife Linda of the home; a brother, Carl Ray Blythe and wife Rosie of Tulsa, OK; a sister, Lisa Blythe of Walters; 7 nieces and nephews on the Blythe side, Jeff Blythe, Dr. Kimberly Trimble, Cindy Watson, John, Carl, Kyle and Bradley Winfree; other beloved relatives and friends.
