Clyde Tinsley

Funeral Service at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Monday, September 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., Rick Beard officiating with burial in the Devol Cemetery.

Clyde Ray Tinsley was born to Raymond Jefferson and Avis Marie (Wood) Tinsley on February 8, 1954 in Bermuda, Brittish Isle and departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK on September 8, 2022 at the age of 68 years and 7 months.

Clyde grew up in a military family, living in many places to include 3 years in Hawaii, Missouri, Oklahoma and Iowa. When his dad got out of the service, they came to Devol, OK for a short time in 1963, then back to Missouri. They eventually returned to Devol during his junior year at Big Pasture High School. Through the years he worked as a pipefitter for Piping Engineering and later began working construction with his sons.

Clyde enjoyed motorcycles and 4-wheeling, as well as, working on vehicles. He enjoyed time with his family and loved his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Tinsley and a brother, Frankie Wayne Tinsley.

Survivors include his mom, Avis Tinsley of Devol, OK; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard and Tasha Tinsley of Devol, and Clint and Reina Tinsley of Randlett, OK; a brother, Thomas Tinsley of Burkburnett, TX; 2 sisters, Joanie Harris and husband Wayne of Devol, and Judith Bonds of Devol; 5 grandchildren, Jordyn Tinsley, Lane Tinsley, Hayden Tinsley, Sage Tinsley and Hadley Tinsley; other relatives and friends.
