Codi Bystedt

Viewing will be held at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Temple, OK, on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Codi Marie Bystedt was born to Kevin Lawrence and Julia Kathlene (Hale) Bystedt on March 21, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV and departed this life in Lawton, OK on July 20, 2021 at the age of 32 years 3 months and 29 days.

Codi grew up in Las Vegas until coming to Temple, OK in 2001. While attending school in Temple she was active in softball and basketball, graduating from THS in 2007. She then went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Cameron University.

Codi enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was especially fond of kids and loved being around them. She enjoyed listening to music, reading, and loved the ocean.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Raymond Hale.

She survived by her mother, Julia Bystedt of Temple, OK; her father, Kevin Bystedt and Jeni of Pahrump, NV; her grandparents, Don and Nancy Orlando of Temple, Dale and Gloria Bystedt of Pahrump, NV, and Ruby Hale of Berlin, MD; her aunt, Kendra Bystedt of Johnstown, OH; her uncle, Shawn Hale of Odenton, MD; other relatives and many friends.
