Funeral Services at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Brantley Tillery officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
Craig Curtis Colston was born to Forrest Lynn and Betty Lou (Jones) Colston on August 27, 1964 at St. Louis, MO and departed this life in Walters, OK on January 20, 2019 at the age of 54 years, 4 months and 24 days.
Craig grew up in Minnesota, graduating from Eden Prairie High School in 1982 and then attended the University of South Dakota where he played football for the Coyotes and received a Bachelor of Science degree.
He made his home in Minnesota until moving to Las Vegas in 2006, then to Lubbock, TX in 2010 and on to Walters, OK, to be near his dad in 2013. Through the years he worked as a truck driver and supervisor for several companies, the last couple of which were Fed Ex and Southeastern Freight Lines. He was proud to have ridden in 3 Hotter’N Hell bike rides and enjoyed riding his Harleys.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Betty Colston.
Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Colston and granddaughter, Kayleigh Mitchell both of St. Louis Park, MN; his brother, Clifford Colston of Walters; his aunt Maxine Arrington of Walters; 2 cousins Susan Putnam of Jones and Kim Colston of Marlow; 2 nieces, Kiley and Carson Colston, and a host of friends.
