Douglas Ike Hart, 71, Lawton, OK

Memorial Service at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.

Douglas Ike Hart was born to Milton Eugene “Mickey” and Agnes Lucille (Askew) Hart on December 21, 1946 at Walters, OK and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on October 30, 2018 at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 9 days.

Ike grew up at Walters where he graduated from Walters High School. He was employed in construction most of his life, working at Town and Country in Lawton, Elliott’s at Waurika, worked for the State Highway Department at Walters and ended his working years as a metal fabricator for an awning company.

He made his home mainly in Walters, Lawton and several years in Longview, TX.

He enjoyed auto racing, watching racing, working cars, fishing and camping.

Ike was preceded by his mother and father; his infant son, Dale Ray Hart; and his sister Edith Faye Hart Wiedeman who died earlier this year.

Survivors include his son, Darrell Hart Minton and wife Christine of Williamsburg, VA; his daughter, Cori Hart of Bay City, TX; 6 grandchildren; his brother, Roney Hart and wife Lana of Lawton, OK; his Aunt Mary Lou Doye of Lawton; a special friend and her family, Sherrill Redd of Lawton, her daughters, Mandi Segovia of San Antonio, TX and Amber Boyd of Lawton and their families; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
