Dr. Sharonica Melisia Johnson was born to Eugene and the late Diane (Simmons) Johnson on August 7, 1978 at Lawton, OK and departed this life at Lawton on February 21, 2019 at the age of 40 years, 7 months and 14 days.
Sharonica grew up in Temple, OK, graduating from Temple High School in 1996. She went on to receive her Bachelor in Psychology from OU in 2000 then worked as Program Director at Marie Detty Youth and Family Services. She received her Master in Behavioral Science from Cameron University in 2003 and then worked for Wichita Falls ISD as a Special Education Teacher from 2004 to 2008. From 2008 to 2010 she served as the Clinic Director for E-Affinity in Boise, ID, before returning to Temple and eventually Lawton, working as a Clinical Therapist at Hope Family Clinic and Wichita Counseling Center. In 2012 she founded and became the CEO of JAC, Johnson and Associates Consultation. She received her Doctorate of Organizational Psychology from Walden University in 2013 and has continued her career as a Dissertation Coach & Editor/Independent External Consultant with JAC.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed running and spending time with her family. She adored her niece and nephew, Araba and Elijah.
Sharonica was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Diane Johnson; her grandmother, Alma Simmons; her grandfathers, Sylvester Johnson, Billy Jones and
Mack Simmons; and her step-brother, Travis Tollett.
Survivors include her father and step-mother, Eugene and Holly Johnson of Temple; her sister, Cheree Johnson of Lawton; her niece and nephew, Diane Araba Ashon and Elijah Wolfe; her grandmothers, Stella Jones of Temple and Debra Johnson of Ardmore; her step-sister, Brooke Tollett of Walters; many other relatives and a host of friends.
