Edward Norman “Ed” Dunn was born to James Edward Dunn, Sr. and Joyce Emma (Steever) Dunn on January 8, 1966 in Heidelberg, Germany and departed this life in Chattanooga, OK on August 27, 2021 at the age of 55 years, 7 months and 19 days.

Ed grew up in New Jersey, Ohio and Kansas where he graduated in 1984 from Mulvane High School. He came to Grandfield, OK in 1990 where his dad was serving as police chief. Ed married Mary Catherine (Cox) Stewart on June 12, 1993 in Wichita Falls, TX. He and Cathy made their home in Grandfield until 2000, moving to their current home in rural Chattanooga. Early on Ed worked at Auto Zone in Wichita Falls, then was employed as service manager at Landrum Chevrolet in Burkburnett which eventually became Pruitt and later Lipscomb. For the past 2 years he worked for Herb Easley in Wichita Falls until his health prohibited in July.

Ed’s passion was racing and everything that goes with it. He enjoyed every minute spent in the shop and enjoyed watching football, supporting his Philadelphia Eagles. He also loved his kids and grandkids and time spent with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Cynthia Dunn; and a brother, Jimmy Dunn.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy, of the home; 2 daughters, Michelle Depew of Burkburnett, and Katelin Dunn and Asa of Randlett; 5 brothers and sisters, Scott Dunn, Charlie Dunn, Kimberly Shipley and Don all of Hamilton, NJ; Debra Weber and Shek of Eldorado, KS, Jason Dunn and Monica of Hamilton; 4 grandchildren, Joshua Depew, Kylee Depew, Ayven Depew and Acelynn Groves; other relatives and a host of friends.
