Effie Mae (Bridges) Clark was born to Hugh Thomas and Ethel Mae (Jackson) Bridges on January 23, 1935 in Temple, OK and departed this life at Wichita Falls, TX on February 11, 2024 at the age of 89 years and 19 days.
Effie grew up in Temple, Comanche and Walters, graduating from Walters High School in 1953. She married Ted Delbert Clark on June 2, 1956 in Lawton, OK and they made their home at Walters. Effie worked for Southwestern Bell, Armstrongs and Haggars.
They moved to Wichita Falls in 2015 where Effie was a member of Journey Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling in a league, camping, and taking care of her lawn and garden. She also enjoyed music and singing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Clark; her parents, Hugh and Ethel Bridges; her brother Billy Bridges, and sister Ruby Blair.
She is survived by 2 sons, Rick Clark and wife Pat, and Rodney Clark all of Wichita Falls; a sister Linda Hathaway of Walters; 3 grandchildren and spouses, Scott and Twylla Clark of Pleasant Valley, TX, Lyndsey and Kyle Richardson of Converse, LA, Kathryn Coffey and Ben of Wichita Falls; 11 great grandchildren, Zackery, Andrew, Madison, Cayson, Hope, Hannah, Meredith, Byntlee, Brantlee, Weslynn and Kylan ; 3 great-great grandkids, Rhylie, Avery and Garrett; other relatives and many friends.
