Eric Lynn Everett was born to Richard Lynn and Laura Beth (Cargill) Everett on April 13, 1979 at Lawton, OK and departed this life at Walters, OK on November 27, 2018 at the age of 39 years, 7 months and 14 days.
Eric grew up at Geronimo through the 4th grade then moved to the Bray-Doyle area, graduating in 1997. He worked in the medical field, then worked for Rent-X before attending culinarian school. He graduated from OSU-Okmulgee in August 2004 with an Applied Science and Culinarian Degree. He married Jennifer Lynn Burrow on October 16, 2004 at Tulsa. They made their home at Tulsa, Marlow, Grove and Walters.
Eric has been employed as a culinarian at Meadow Brook Country Club of Tulsa and Cherokee Casino at Catoosa. In Lawton he worked for Sodexo as catering manager and executive chef at Cameron University for 10 years. The company also used him for a time at ORU and then at NEO where he helped Sodexo lay out the kitchen design and hire the employees. He was the kitchen manager at GEO prison at Lawton and then worked for Southern Star Communications of Wichita Falls for 13 months. Eric served as executive chef and kitchen manger at Kiowa Casino in Devol from 2013-2017.
He loved cooking and considered it a gift. He enjoyed singing, fishing and watching football, and most of all loved his kids and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lynn Everett; his paternal grandparents, Bennie Royce Everett and Mary Lou (Dobbs) Everett; and his cousin, Marcus Cargill.
Eric is survived by his wife, Jennifer of the home; his children, Elizabeth “Evie” Everett and Logan Lynn Everett of the home; his mother and step-dad, Laura and Tony High of Walters; his step-mother, Laura Everett of Marlow; 3 sisters, Tara Everett Nelson and Sean of DuPont, WA, Bobbi Jo Winburn and Matthew of Central High, and Haley Beth High of Walters; his grandparents, Jimmy Cargill and Donna of Cache, and Dewayne and LaVonne High; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Art and Elvie Burrow of Tulsa and many other relatives and friends.
