Ethel Fay Squibb was born to Betty JoAnn (Moran) and J.W. Thomasson on November 20, 1971 in Oklahoma City, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on September 16, 2021 at the age of 49 years, 9 months and 27 days.
Ethel grew up in Irving, TX, Terral, OK, Temple, OK, Geronimo, OK and Walters, OK, graduating from WHS in 1990. She then attended Vo-Tec for her Medical Transcription Certification. She did records filing for a lawyer in Yukon, OK and returned to Walters, working at Happy Stop and at several casinos. She married David Craig Squibb, Jr. on May 20, 2007 at the old Walters Depot. They made their home in Walters until moving to Lawton in May of 2020.
Ethel enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, motorcycle rides and fast cars. She also enjoyed kayaking, woodworking, knitting, crocheting, and keeping her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. Thomasson and Betty Snyder; 2 brothers, Donald Thomasson and Jerry Thomasson; and a sister, Deloris Sexton.
Survivors include, David, of the home; a son James Brawner of El Reno, OK; 3 daughters, Ashten Tolliver and Chad of Walters, Lacey Calfy of Lawton, Leslie Courtright and Brent of Walters; 5 grandchildren, Chris Garner, Aaron Tolliver, Heavenly Tolliver, Ridleigh Calfy and Aria Calfy; her siblings, David Swallow of Camden, SC, Sue Swallow-Rice, Perkins, OK, Virginia Skinner, Agra, OK, Kathy Swallow Barkley, Bella Vista, AR, Regina Swallow-Byers, Bella Vista, AR, JoAnn Bivins, Temple, OK and Juanita Bollinger of Duncan, OK; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
