Freddie Eugene Burrow was born September 20, 1939 in Mesa, AZ and died June 15, 2021 in Lawton, OK. Marion Joyce (Dettweiler) Burrow was born August 2, 1952 in Parsons, KS and died June 17, 2021 in Temple, OK.
Fred married Joyce Norene Allen on January 15, 1957 and to the union 2 sons were born, David and Fritz Burrow. Fred then married Julia Ann Smith on September 15, 1962 and to this union 2 more children were born, Terisa Rogers and Jason Burrow. Fred later married Marion Joyce Dettweiler on September 20, 1979 and to the union a daughter, Stephanie Ledford was born.
Fred worked as an electrical engineer for several companies and Joyce worked as a nurse’s aide. Fred always enjoyed electronics, working with his hands and building model airplanes, jewelry, knives, scrimshaw artwork, and studying plants.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, card games, dominoes, reading, and listening to country gospel music.
Fred was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Burrow; his mother, Lorene McKown; and his brother, Pat Burrow.
Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Dettweiler; her stepmom, Lou Dettweiler; her brother, Clarence Dettweiler; 2 sisters, Linda McGee and Sharon Cox; and 2 nephews, Brian Duke Akins and Joshua Cherry.
They were both preceded in death by 2 great grandsons, Ayden James Roberts and William Gage Roberts.
Survivors include 3 sons, David Burrow and Lisa of Marlow, OK, Fritz Burrow and Joy of Temple, OK, Jason Burrow and Amy of Oklahoma City; 2 daughters, Terisa Rogers of Indiana, Stephanie Ledford and Ryan of Temple; Joyce’s father, Clarence Dettweiler of Oklahoma City; Joyce’s sisters, Sherrie and Larry Ladd, Diane and Tom Fletcher, and Bettie Lundin all of Oklahoma City; Fred’s brothers, Aubrey McKown and Johnny McKown of Arizona; Fred’s sisters, Helen Bulzomi of North Dakota and Peggy Martin of Arizona; a sister-in-law, Gaileen Burrow of Arizona; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
