Graveside Services at the Walters Cemetery, Walters, OK, Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11:00 am, Edward Tahhahwah officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters, OK. Viewing on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and on Monday from 9-10:30 a.m.

Gloria Lorrie Ann Stevens Poafpybitty was born to Winfield and Ann (Bush) Stevens in Mahnomen, MN and departed this life in Moore, OK on February 19, 2024.

Gloria grew up in Bagley, MN, graduating from Bagley High School. She attended some college, but she eventually married and was a housewife. She made her way down to Shawnee, OK and after 6 years there found employment at the Comanche Nation Casino in Lawton, OK. There she met Curtis Poafpybitty, making their home in Lawton together for the past 25 years. 

Gloria enjoyed reading and journalling her daily events. She also enjoyed going for rides, watching old movies and football, her favorite team was the Green Bay Packers. She and Curtis loved being grandma and papa to Dominic, LaShaun and Tony.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her companion, Curtis Poafpybitty of the home; her brother, Richard Stevens of Duluth, MN; 2 sisters, Sandy Stevens of Cloquet, MN and Shirley Stevens of Washington State; a brother-in-law, Gerald Codynah of Lawton; other relatives and a host of friends.
