Harley R Custard

A visitation will be held at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK on Tuesday evening celebrating his life from 5-7:00 p.m. with a time of special remarks at 6:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Crescent Cemetery, Crescent, OK at 1:00 p.m.

Harley R. Custard age 73 passed away on December 8, 2018, at his home in Randlett, OK

Harley was born on November 13, 1945 in Pryor, Ok to W. J. “Bud” Custard and Una Lee Custard. They moved to Garber, OK where he graduated from Garber High School in 1964.

Harley married Twila Gail (Dulock) Sullivan on May 10, 1975 in Irving, TX. After spending 25 years with JPI, Inc., a real estate development company in Irving, TX and 6 years as owner of HRC Structures, LLC doing multi-family construction and rehab, he retired in 2010 and started working for Mike Vache and Clarence Vache on their ranches as a ranch hand assisting in the daily operations. He and his wife Twila instantly became part of the Vache family. Besides ranching, Harley also enjoyed fishing and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his father, W J “Bud”Custard, mother, Una Lee Custard and granddaughter Loraine “Raine” Sullivan.

Harley is survived by wife, Twila Custard of Randlett, OK; his children, James Sullivan and wife Cheryl of Cross Plains, TX, Jenna Thompson and husband Robert, of Norcross, GA, Sammi Custard and fiancé Eddie Olson of Houston, TX and Todd Custard and wife DeShayna of Iowa Park, TX; as well as a sister, Sue Daykin and husband Jere of Collinsville, OK and brother Dennis Custard and wife Marie of Maybank, TX; his grandchildren are Laura and Jimmy Briscoe, Connor Thompson, James Sullivan, Jr., Parker Thompson, Jonathon Sullivan, Hailey McCarter, Kila Custard, Weston Custard and Kaydrin Bowden; two great grandchildren Ashton Roberts and Sam Briscoe; nieces and nephews, J. W. Tarno, Denise Bridges, Jerilynn Daykin, Richard Custard, Johnetta McCowan and Chance Daykin.
