Ila Clay (Davis) Hayes was born on February 17, 1925 in Temple, OK to Isaac “Ike” Davis and Maude (McKee) Davis and departed this life in Shawnee, OK on October 7, 2022 at the age of 97 years,7 months and 20 days.

Ila grew up in the Temple and Walters, OK area, moving to Tracy, California in the early 50s. She moved back to Walters in 1976. She worked for Cotton County as a Purchasing Agent and retired in 1992. Since 2000, she has been a resident of Shawnee, OK.

Since her retirement she has loved gardening, quilting and crafting.

Ila was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Maude Davis; 12 Siblings, David Owen, Josephine, Charles Jefferson, Hazel, Betty, Isaac, James Madison, Maudie May, Perishing Foch, Lillian Lucile, Alma Moreen and Lesly Clyde; She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Darrell Lynn Hayes and Larry Dale Hayes.

She is survived by; a daughter Janet Lynn Dooley and husband John of Ripon, CA, 2 sons; Dennis Gene Hayes of Shawnee, OK and Howard Clay Hayes and wife Cindy of Sapulpa, OK; 11 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren other relatives and many friends.
