Jane Ogletree, 72, Walters, OK

 

Graveside services at the Walters Cemetery, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

 

 

 

Sibel Jane (Vardell) Ogletree was born to Alvis “AV” and Jessie (Daniel) Vardell on March 16, 1946 at Walters, OK and departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK on November 15, 2018.

 

Jane grew up on the Vardell Farm 4 miles south of Walters. She married Ronald Keith Ogletree on June 5, 1965 at Walters where they lived for a year before moving to El Paso with the U.S. Army. Upon his discharge they made their home at Burkburnett, TX and then back to Walters before moving to Silver City, OK. They eventually made their way to the Huston area at La Porte, TX and then settled back in Walters. Jane was a homemaker, but also had a beauty license, dispatched for the Cotton County Sheriff and worked for JV Piping.

 

While raising her sons she enjoyed spending time at the lake and going snow skiing. She also enjoyed gambling, bingo, woodworking, reading, yardwork and flowers, and loved shopping on QVC. She was a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church at Cookietown.

 

Ronnie preceded her in death in 2005 and she later married Bobby LeBarre on May 18, 2010, making their home in Walters. He preceded her in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Johnny “John Earl” Vardell; a sister, Dorothy Lucille “Lou” Collins; and an infant sister, Louise Vardell.

 

Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and Julie Ogletree of Ardmore, OK, and Greg and Lisa Ogletree of Plaquemine, LA; 5 brothers and sisters, Jackie Vardell of Walters, Howard Vardell and Jodie of Walters, Kay LeBarre and Norman of Walters, Jimmy Vardell and Kay of Ponder, TX, and Sherry Acrey of Walters; 11 grandchildren, Charli Sharpe of Tulsa, Quaid Ogletree of Walters, Jill Ogletree and Chase Ogletree both of Lindsay, Zack, Jenna and Blakelee Stowers all of Stillwater, Gage Ogletree and Summer of Lone Grove, OK, Kinly, Bryson and Sky Ogletree all of Plaquemine; her great grandson, Aiden of Lone Grove; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
