Jewell M. Green

Graveside services at the Temple Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019 under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple.

Jewell Mozell “Dobie” (Keck) Green was born to Jim and Liza Ida Bonnie (Richards) Keck on April 20, 1939 at Waurika, OK and departed this life in Temple, OK on February 26, 2019 at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 6 days.

Jewell grew up mainly at Martha, OK. She married Billy Ray Green on November 15, 1958 at Durant, OK. They made their home at Altus, OK and then Palacios, TX before moving to Temple, OK in the late 1970’s. She was employed at Haggar’s for a time and also worked as a cook and CNA at Temple Manor Nursing Home. She loved fishing, gardening and helping Bill do cotton harvest.

Jewell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill, in 2007; 5 siblings, Cecil Keck, Patsy Gilley, Francis Bigford, Dwight Keck and Mary Kincannon; 2 nephews, Richard Baze and Jerry Gilley; a niece, Sherry Baze.

Survivors include 2 sisters and a brother, Barbara Gilley, Joy Anderson and Donald Keck all of Temple; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
