Funeral Service at First Baptist Church, Comanche, OK, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Mark Hall and Rev. Scott Whitson officiating with burial at Fairlawn Cemetery, Comanche, under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK.

Viewing on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a visitation for family and friends from 6:00 to 7:30 on Monday.

Wilma Joyce Bandy was born to Raymond Louis and Fannie Pearl (Collins) Daugherty on August 19, 1928 at Crane, TX and departed this life in Comanche, OK on December 1, 2018 at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 12 days.

Joyce grew up attending numerous schools as her father moved around with Gulf Oil. She graduated from Comanche High School in 1946 and then attended Cameron College for a year. On June 14, 1947 she married Bill Bandy at Wichita Falls and made their home west of Comanche where they owned and operated Bandy’s Grocery and Station, retiring in 1975. She was an active member of Comanche First Baptist Church.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, William N. “Bill” Bandy; her parents, Raymond and Pearl Daugherty; and 2 brothers, Louis Daugherty and George Daugherty.

Survivors include 2 children, Sue Wooten and husband Allen, and Keith Bandy all of Comanche; 4 grandsons, Kris Hinsley and wife Jana, Ryan “Bubba” Hinsley and wife Jennifer, and Billy Bandy all of Comanche, Shy Bandy and wife Tanna of Velma; a granddaughter, Valerie Bell of Duncan; great grandchildren, Mason Hinsley, Jordyn Campbell, Landry Hinsley, and Blayn Hinsley all of Comanche, Mattie Barcus and husband Robert of Grand Prairie, TX and Memphis Smith of Velma; a great grand expected in April 2019, Kye Bandy; other relatives and friends.
