Kathryn Ann “Kathy” Johnson was born to Charles M. and Ella Verlene (Harrison) McLain on August 16, 1957, in Lawton, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on August 5, 2022 at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 20 days.

Kathy grew up in Lawton where she married Jimmie Lee Johnson on September 16, 1977 and to the union a daughter was born. They made Lawton their home until moving to Walters in 1984. Through the years she had worked at Wrights Donuts and as a cashier at Circle S in Walters.

In days gone by, Kathy enjoyed riding bikes with the family and walking with Jimmie in the park. She also enjoyed crocheting, spending lots of time on the internet and she had a way with words. She was a member of Open Door Church of God.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie; a brother, Roy Wayne Punneo; and 2 sisters, Joyce Charlene Lewis and Gracie Lee Montgomery.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Louese (Johnson) Carney and Kevin of Lawton; a brother, Lonnie Ray Shoopman of Lawton; 2 sisters, Jeannie Patterson of Edmond and Erma Jo Loy of Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Raymond Johnson of Lawton, Jimmie Lee Johnson II of Walters, and Kara Ann Michelle Sutter of Lawton; a great granddaughter, Aurora Jewell Johnson; other relatives and friends.
