Kenia Evette Davis returned to her heavenly home on January 21, 2021 after her battle with COVID. With her love of God along with the outpouring of prayers and love from her family and many friends gave her peace and comfort.

Kenia was born January 22, 1963 in Lawton, OK. She grew up in Randlett, OK most of her life, climbing trees, being fearless while growing into a loving, kind hearted tomboy. Her late mother, Nelda Williams Calfy, met and married John Calfy of Walters, OK, moving the family there. Kenia attended Walters School and graduated in the WHS Class of 1981. She later attended American Commercial College, becoming a 2001 graduate.

She loved to travel, fish and attend church. She made her way to Texas, Colorado and Arkansas with her landing back home in Walters with the love of her life, her son Cody, her greatest treasure. She was a great and proud mother! Always encouraging him to enjoy life and showing him the way. By his side is where she will be and will remain in his heart forever!

Her other love was her First Baptist Church, Temple, OK family. One of her proudest moments was her baptism into the church. There she found a home and a great love of God. It shined in her like gold!

Kenia’s crazy fun-loving nature, never met a stranger attitude made her many friends near and far. Life with her was never boring! Crazy Cat Lay! Funny, loving, prankster, baby hugging aunt. She could really hug! Finding the humor in every situation was truly her gift and she shared that gift. With her big heart she always wanted to bring a smile to her family or to those she thought needed it. Taking care of those she loved or didn’t know brought her great joy, including any animal she came across.

She was a Blessing to all who knew her! She will greatly be missed by her family and many friends!

Kenia is survived by her son Cody Vaughan, Iowa Park, TX; her siblings and their spouses, Diane and Randy Myers, Iowa Park, Jerry and Marcia Davis, Lowell, AR, Dixie and Terry Woods, Rock Springs, WY, Kevin and Tina Davis, Walters, OK; She is also survived by brothers and sisters of the late Kenneth Watson Family and the Calfy Family of Walters. As well as, cousins, nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews.

We as a family ask all prayer warriors to continue to pray for those suffering from COVID. “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17.
