Kenneth "Potsy" Potts

Kenneth Dale Potts, also known as "Potsy", was born September 19, 1943 in Sioux Falls, SD and departed this life in Lawton, OK on May 18, 2019, at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 29 days.

Kenneth grew up in Georgia and later Oklahoma, the son of John Robert and Sallie Estelle (Rouse) Potts. He graduated from Lawton High and then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State to play football. He married Donna Sue Morrow on August 22, 1969, making their home in Walters. To the union a daughter, Kristi Dawn Potts, was born.

Kenneth worked mainly as a trucker and farmhand for many years. He called Walters his home but for a brief time in Geronimo. He enjoyed watching college football, especially OU, and enjoyed fishing, tinkering with cars, listening to country music and watching westerns. Kenneth served his country honorably in the Oklahoma National Guard for 6 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Bobby Ruth Potts; and 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Roy Potts and wife Mae, and Charles Potts.

Survivors include his daughter, Kristi Dawn (Potts) Smith of Las Vegas, NV; a niece, Marcella Urban of Deer Park, TX; 2 nephews, Michael Potts of Pasadena, TX and Marc Potts of Crosby, TX; his beloved Yorkie, Ginger; and a host of friends.
