Mary A. Lindsey

Funeral Service at First Baptist Church, Walters, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., Dr. Jack Jacob officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Mary Arlene (Langford) Lindsey was born to Lee and Geneva Gertrude (Winton) Langford on October 16, 1942 at Comanche, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on January 12, 2019 at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 27 days.

Mary grew up at Hulen and Walters, OK, graduating from WHS in 1960. She then married Farris Dell Lindsey on April 8, 1961 at Lawton, OK and to the union 3 sons were born. They made their home at Lawton, Midwest City and Oklahoma City where she worked at the State Heath Department. They returned to Walters in 1984 and she worked 20 years as a program assistant for ASCS, retiring in 2006.

She was a member of First Baptist Church Walters. She enjoyed watching Christian shows on TV along with the Hallmark channel and HGTV. She enjoyed cards, dominos and other games, and loved playing with her grandkids and having them over for the night.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Farris, in 2013.

Survivors include 3 sons, Daniel Aurell Lindsey of Walters, Michael Lee Lindsey and wife Tracy of Walters, and John Paul Lindsey of Elgin, OK; 2 brothers, Robert and Paul Langford both of Walters; 5 granddaughters, Jacie, Jenna, Lexie, Avery and Adley Lindsey; other relatives and host of friends.
