Nancy Philpott

Funeral Services at Church of the Nazarene, Walters, OK, Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Paul Metcalfe officiating. Interment in the Letitia Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. Visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Nancy Carol (Glasgow) Philpott was born to Clovis Leon and Betty Lou (Larson) Glasgow on November 4, 1957 at Perryton, TX and departed this life in Duncan, OK on October 26, 2019 at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 22 days.

Nancy’s family moved around with work but lived mainly in the Eder/Dumas area of Texas and eventually made their way to the Bentonville, AR area. In 1974 she married Freddy Philpott and they lived at Cave Springs, AR. To the union a daughter, Kristie Dawn, was born. Nancy moved to Walters, OK in 1976 to be near family and has lived at Duncan since August of 2008. She worked as an LPN for Duncan Regional Hospital 31 years before retiring in 2018.

Nancy was a member of the Walters Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed fishing, watching wildlife, traveling, reading, and hanging out with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Betty Glasgow; and 3 brothers, Larry Glasgow, Ronnie Glasgow and A.C. Martin.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Kristie Philpott of Duncan; 4 sisters and their husbands, Beverly Lapel of Oklahoma City, Gail and Terry Pierce of Odessa, TX, Janet and Dale Stevens of Amarillo, TX, Cathy and Robert Lane of Duncan; 3 sisters-in-law, Vicki Whaley of Marlow, Shirley Glasgow of Missouri and Lisa Donley of Texas; 2 aunts, Rae Pyle and Barbara Larson both of Guymon, OK; 18 nieces and nephews, Blake, Sharla, Mark, Mike, Tonya, Brian, Alicia, Nikki, Travis, Brooke, Carey, Kelly, Emey, Bridget, Danny, Rhonda, Nikki, Amber, David, Frances and John; numerous great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
