Shirley Riddles

Shirley Jo (Harrell) Riddles was born to Jim Harrell and Katie Viola (Edmonson) Harrell on September 16, 1940 in Pampa, TX and departed this life in Duncan, OK on January 28, 2022 at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Shirley grew up in the Houston, TX area where she graduated and lived into her 30’s. She then moved to Temple, OK, to be near her mother. On May 9, 1974 she married Ira Oliver Riddles at Wichita Falls, TX. They made their home in Temple for a time before moving to Comanche, OK in the late 1970’s.

Shirley worked as a bookkeeper for the town of Temple for many years and has since enjoyed going to the casino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Kate Harrell; 5 sisters, Bettie, Myrlene, Joyce, Joreta and Peggy; 3 brothers, Johnnie, Kenneth and Jim; and her daughter, Cindy Hill.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Oliver, of the home; a daughter, Katie Lamar of Oklahoma City, OK; a grandson, Todd Hill of Comanche, OK; a granddaughter, Cassi Nicole Eubanks of Lawton, OK; a great granddaughter, Caitlyn Nicole Hill of Temple, OK; a great grandson, Aidan Eubanks of Lawton; a great-great grandson Grayson Tyson of Temple; other relatives and friends.

A Private Memorial will be held at a later date.
