Funeral Services were held at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., Billy Palmer Officiating with burial at Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home.
Susan Faye (Spence) Wingfield was born in Lawton, OK on August 12, 1956 to James Lecil and Doris Faye (Crow) Spence and departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK on January 17, 2022 at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 5 days.
Susan grew up in Geronimo, graduating from GHS in 1975. She married Ray Anthony Wingfield in June of 1992 and they made their home in Geronimo until his passing in 2017. Together they enjoyed traveling to various lakes with their Jayco trailer and going to garage sales.
Susan was a member of the Church of Christ. Every year she enjoyed going to the Easter Pageant at the Holy City of the Wichitas. She loved animals, music and was a young soul.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Doris Spence and her brother, James David Spence.
Susan is survived by her aunt, Kay Clopton of Lawton, OK; her brother, Darrel Spence of Iowa Park, TX; her nieces, Sonja McNeill and Glenn of Riverview, FL, Shelly Hooper and Buddy of Temple, OK, Stacy Mullins and Chance of Tuttle, OK, and Rachel Adamson and Phillip of Austin, TX; her nephew, James Darrel Spence and Sonya of Elgin, OK; several great nieces and nephews along with numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
