Memorial Service at First United Methodist Church in Temple, OK on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Bruce Humphries officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Tab Wayne Lewis was born to Gordon Ray and Blanche (Gammill) Lewis on May 3, 1936 at Temple, OK and departed this life in Oklahoma City on September 18, 2019 at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 15 days.

Tab grew up at Temple, graduating from THS in 1954. He married Karan Rae Johnson on September 24, 1955 at Temple and to the union 2 sons were born. The couple made their home southeast of Temple where they have been engaged in farming for the past 64 years. Tab was also a roughneck, a truck driver, a house painter and concrete finisher.

Karan, his bride of 54 years, preceded him in death on November 27, 2009. He later married Mary Nixon in July of 2011 and she preceded him in death on April 8, 2014.

Tab was a member of First Baptist Church in Temple. He was proud of his vast collection of bricks from all over. He enjoyed traveling, water skiing, snow skiing and loved antique cars. His hospitality was enjoyed by the many who participated in his calf-fry for 49 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Blanche; his wives, Karan and Mary; his daughter-in-law, Christy Lewis; and 2 grandchildren, Shayna Potts and Dylan Lewis

Survivors include 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Kyle Lewis of Hastings, OK, Breck and Lesa Lewis of Duncan, OK; his granddaughter, Lindsey Calhoun and husband Shane of Hastings; 2 great granddaughters, Raelyn and Christy Calhoun of Hastings; his sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Harold Powell of Temple, OK; 2 stepdaughters, Chrissy Cole and husband David, and their daughter Lexie Cole all of Branson, MO, and Michelle Williams and husband Rich of Denver, CO; other relatives and many friends.
