William "Bill" Wheat

William Clinton "Bill" Wheat, Jr. was born to William Clinton and Jimmie Lee (Dean) Wheat on October 31, 1951 at San Antonio, TX and departed this life in Lubbock, TX on October 16, 2021 at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 16 days.

Bill grew up in a military family where they were stationed in several areas from the first school being Jay Long Elementary in Abilene to living overseas in Germany in 1956 to France in 1964 then to England in 1966 to name a few. He graduated from Healdton High School in 1970 and then joined the Navy following graduation. After serving our country, he went into the oilfield for quite some time. He then decided to go back to college, where he graduated from Murray State College in 1995.

Bill was married to the love of his life, Julie Wheat, for over 30 years until she passed in August of 2012. After losing Julie, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, tinkering around in the shop, woodworking, online games and spending time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his wife Julie Wheat; his father, William Clinton Wheat; his mother, Jimmie Carroll; his paternal grandparents, PJ & Ruth Wheat; and his maternal grandparents, Floyd & Quessey Dean.

Survivors include his son, Sky Wheat & wife Princess of Lubbock; daughter, Christina Estrada and husband Tino of Ardmore; daughter, Talitha Dilbeck and husband Jeremy of Duncan, OK; brother, Steve Carroll of Weatherford, OK, sister, Linda Sullivan and husband Tom of Loco, OK; sister, Rhonda Wheat of Oklahoma City, OK; his grandchildren, Isaiah & Jaxton Wheat of Lubbock, Jacob French of Ardmore, Kerissa French and fiancé Jordon Pilgrim of Enid, OK, Trent Estrada of Oklahoma City, Tarron Estrada of Ardmore, Tate Estrada of Ardmore; two great-grandsons, Tallon & Tian Estrada of Ardmore; numerous nieces, nephews, and family friends.
