Born in Lawton, OK, Phillip Shawn Hart grew up in Temple, OK and Walters, OK, graduating from Walters High School in 1988. He attended Oklahoma State University and Cameron University before graduating from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1992. He married Shellie Phillips on November 26, 1988, in Walters and they make their home east of Walters. He has a daughter, Taylor Abbe (Hart) McIntyre, who is married to Brent McIntyre and they make their home in Temple. Phillip also has 3 sons all of Walters, Cole Max Hart, a graduate of Oklahoma State, Gage Levi Hart, attending Oklahoma State, and Nathan Phillips Hart, attending Walters High. He also has 3 grandson belonging to Taylor, Jagger Brown, Brevan Brown and Trace McIntyre. Phillip is a member of Union Valley Baptist Church in Cookietown, OK and the Walters Rotary Club. He currently serves on the executive board of the Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association and the Walters School Board.
Born in Walters, OK, Carol grew up west of Temple, OK and graduated from Temple High School in 1966. After graduation she began her working career at Ft. Sill, then spent 14 years at the First National Bank in Temple. Her involvement with Wyatt Funeral Home began in 1972 and she eventually purchased the funeral home in 1984 and it became Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home. She married Bill Shipman in 1998 and together they share 4 children and 8 grandchildren. She is a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church, Cookietown, OK.
Born in Artesia, New Mexico, Bill grew up in the Empire Community, west of Duncan, OK. He graduated from Empire High School, Cameron College and Oklahoma State University. Taught Vocatinal Agriculture for 5 years and was employed by Halliburton Services in chemical research for 21 years. Following the death of his first wife, Donna, he married Carol Hart in 1998 and has been employed at the funeral home since that time.
